In 1969 Ron Goade founded SSI (Stik/Strip Incorporated) and pioneered the variable-imaged plastic card industry.

Magnetic stripe and barcoded plastic cards are manufactured using an exclusive scanning system to ensure accuracy in every order. Simply put, we scan every card using a "positive/negative" check system. SSI's MIS department is tasked with the constant development of new procedures to remain the leader in our industry.

SSI developed the first prepaid card for AT&T, and we developed the Universal membership card and the first gift cards for Blockbuster. A voter credential with 24 fields of data and high security features was created for Mexico that identified over 55,000,000 voters.
